My 2nd great-grandfather, Richard Holt Vaughan

Richard's nickname was "Dick." He worked for the railroad until his late 60's.

There is a good possibility that this lady is my 2nd great-grandmother,

Esther Marian Clarke,

Richard's wife.

The photo was in a locket belonging to my great-aunt, and is unidentified.

Mary Alma Vaughan

"Mamie"

Mamie was the first child of Richard Holt Vaughan and Esther Marian Clarke.

She married to Ernest Linwood Priddy

in 1887, and they had 1 daughter, Minnye Irene who married to Walter Wagner Moore.

Lillie Linden Vaughan

Lillie was the second child of Richard Esther.

Lillie married to Charles P. White

in 1890, they had no children.

Clyde Susan Vaughan

"Clydie"

Clydie was the third child of Richard & Esther.

She married to James H. Harris

about 1894, they had 6 children;

Violet L., James Richard, Marion Linwood, Floyd C., Walter Crump & Horace R. Harris.

James Edwin Vaughan

"Eddie"

who was the fourth child of Richard & Esther.

James worked for the railroad in Virginia as a blacksmith for many years.

I don't have any photographs of the fifth child of Richard & Esther who was named Jane Vaughan. She was born and died in the same day in 1877.

Richard Cunliffe Vaughan

"Cunliffe"

Cunliffe was the sixth and last child of Richard & Esther.

He married to Ruby Martin in 1912 and they had 4 children.
